Scouts (10.5 to 14)

We have two Scout Troops at 17th Reigate meeting on Wednesday from 7.00pm to 9.00pm and Thursday from 7.30pm to 9.00pm during term time. Scouts are aged between 10 ½ and 14 years old.

Each evening consists of a series of games, activities (both indoor and outdoor) and badge work. We teach the scouts a wide range of scouting skills from cooking, knotting, pitching tents and orienteering. We also take part in a number of District led activities such as the swimming gala, football competition, sports day, incident hikes and District led camps. We also organise our own laser quest, karting and day trips.

If you are interested in joining us then please fill in the form by clicking the button to the right and we will be in touch with you as soon as we can find you a place!

Paul Cove – Scout Leader

I have been involved in Scouting since I was a Cub (they didn’t have Beavers in my era!), only stopping briefly when my eldest child was born. Over the 20+ years I have been a member of three different Scout Groups and have had leader appointments in Cubs, Scouts and was even a Group Scout Leader for a short period.

I use Scouting as an excuse to do the things that I used to do when younger and probably wouldn’t get the opportunity anymore.

Matt Brown - Scout Leader

I've been involved in Scouting since I was a Beaver and have been a Leader for 8 years but as Scout Leader for the last 2. One of my highlights of Scouting was as an Explorer and together with 5 other Explorers we hiked from Brownsea Island to Redhill as part of the initial fundraising for our Scout Centre.
