Can you help organise our equipment and make sure that it’s all fit for purpose?
Each year we take our camping kit away and bring it back as safely as we can. Some kit comes back in need of love and attention – a stuck zip, a small tear, a broken pole or a split seam can make a tent unusable for want of a minor repair. Some jobs can be solved with a needle and thread; others need specialist care – and someone to organise it. We’re looking for a volunteer to co-ordinate the repairs of Group equipment under the guidance of some experienced Scout leaders who will be able to help identify the problem and propose a solution but who haven’t time to arrange for repairs. Someone who could help get our kit fixed up before the next camp or activity would help us save money by keeping our gear for longer rather than replacing it when it’s fixable.
So if you’ve ever fancied being ‘Q’ or could just help out then please contact the GSL.
